Browser Problems in Web-Select
If you are having unexplained browser problems while using Web-Select®, try
any of the following:
- When Pricing in Web-Select, there should be a message in the lower
left corner of your browser window that reads "Applet RsAspProxyApplet
started." If this message does not appear, you need the latest version
of the Java Runtime application. Please go to www.java.com
to download and install.
- In Internet Explorer, go to Tools/Internet Options/General tab/Settings.
Make sure that "Check For Newer Versions of Stored Pages" is set
to "Every visit to the page". Also, on the General tab, click the
Delete Cookies and Delete Files buttons. This will clear all previously stored
(cached) versions of pages that you've visited on the Internet.
- In the Tools/Internet Options/Privacy tab, click Advanced. Check "Override
automatic cookie handling". Select "Accept" for First-party
Cookies and Third-party Cookies. Then check "Always allow session cookies."
- Uninstall all pop-up blocker or spyware (i.e. MidAddle [details])
software.
- Firefox Users:
When Pricing, the costs do not display or update properly. However, the correct prices will be shown after clicking "Submit for Final Pricing Results". The correct prices will also be saved to the schedule.
- If none of the above solutions helps, please let us know your operating
system information by right clicking on My Computer and selecting Properties/General.
Also let us know your browser version and whether your internet connection
runs through a proxy server or firewall. Your network administrator may need
to reset or otherwise refresh the proxy server.
